So For those who were saved or experienced a positive life change, how was that taken by your friends and family!? For us we lost a lot! I still remember when a friend told me that my “old self” would have never wanted what I had now.. What would I have not wanted, Life? Furfillment? Salvation? Freedom from self? An unconditional kind of love? My old self never thought it was possible to feel “Happy” and didn’t plan on living past age 20. Honestly it broke my heart to receive the rejection from those I loved so much. From those who I would have thought would also celebrate the complete turnaround and restoration of my life. The start and growth of my own family that I could love and be a difference to and for. We are told that if the “world hates us we have to understand they first hated God”.. so a majority of the time, its not personal, but it still can hurt.
This poem i wrote was deeply inspired, do enjoy

After so much, all she could do was lay there,
Stay there,
complacent in her darkness and filth.
Many sucked their teeth at her openness, shaking their head in shame.
Yet many visited and found comfort in her pain.
Hope was never given and the fruits were appairent.
Her walls were strong but broken, wrist bleeding like the torrent
her soul was rancid covered in the sweetest perfume. a sore to pure eyes.
How could people continue to walk by.
Then a stranger visited and brought her a light. A glimpse of such foreign love jump started her heart.
He entered her doors and took her hand to set her apart.
Life began again as vines of periwinkle, grapes, and honeysuckle grew, climbing along her walls.
Children were found sucking on her breast that flowed with milk. Honey covered her wrist.
Laughter replaced where the funeral band use to play and rivers returned with fish.
Gardens covered the ground that once laid dead around her. Where did all the visiters go. Will they not thank this stranger who rebuilt her, would they rather follow a herse. In her death she had plenty of company, yet once life was found, the once dead town no longer appealed to her usually vistors.

“And the land that was desolate shall be tilled, instead of being the desolation that it was in the sight of all who passed by. And they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden, and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’Then the nations that are left all around you shall know that I am the Lord; I have rebuilt the ruined places and replanted that which was desolate. I am the Lord; I have spoken, and I will do it.“
Ezekiel 36:34-35
